About Us
We are a non-profit organization managed by a group of elected Toy Library members. We welcome your participation in the Toy Library. If you have any questions or ideas about the operation of the Toy Library, our events or fund-raising, please feel free to contact the President or a member of our board.
Our Mandate: The Okotoks Toy Library is a non-profit organization that strives to make toys accessible and affordable for all families.
Development: The Toy Library provides children with the opportunity to learn and develop physical, intellectual, social and creative skills.
Non-Violent Toys: The Toy Library sets a standard for quality non-violent toys that channel children's energies towards productive and cooperative play.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We rely on volunteer help to keep the library operational. If you are interested in volunteering please contact the Librarian or the Board President.
Any member that chooses to volunteer for the Toy Library can use the volunteer hours towards any product or service offered at the Toy Library, including
- Membership Renewals
- Cake Pan & Decorating Tip Rentals
- Birthday Party Packages
- Gift Certificate Purchases
There are numerous different ways in which these hours can be completed. They include:
- Coordinating an event (i.e. Mini Monster Mash or Easter Egg Hunt)
- Toy Repair (approximately 2 hours counted per toy)
- Toy Cleaning
We are often looking for volunteers for the Toy Library board of directors. If you serve on the board there is no membership fee for your family. Board terms are for 2 years.
